"I often find refuge in silence, in empty spaces, and keep questioning myself how to make nothing out of something. I am also obsessed with the beauty of perfection and minimalism".
Yaksh Verma is a non-disciplinary visual artist. His work is about Silence, Volume, Repetition, and Arranging/Rearranging. He also employs objects as carriers of human narratives and emotions. He uses many different materials in his works, and it also varies in scale. His sculptural practice and art research are deeply intertwined. He makes really small pieces to large installations, collaborating across disciplines, including Jewellery, Furniture, and Architecture.
Recent excerpts from his conversation with Anvita Kriz:
"Looking ahead and around the situation of the world, alongside my romantic ideas of forms and concepts, I'm eager to explore the intersections of art, activism, and social commentary.
Currently, a significant focus of mine is a series of sculptural and installation works exploring human experiences of resilience and hope amidst adversity and war. One of these works uses the touchstone (Kasauti) on a larger scale".
